January 17, 2017

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.. Present: Bruce Hokanson, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Steven Tetzner, Mike Harvey, Pat Guske, Wendy Stein, Joyce Zifko, Buz Raspotnik, Bob Adams, Lea Rolssen, Mike McKenna and Donna Chapman.

Meeting notices were properly posted in the three public places and published in the Daily Press.

Meeting minutes from the December 13, 2016 meeting were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by StevenTetzner to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. All books are balanced. Property taxes are being paid. Motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. There was a flat tire on the plow truck. Zifkos repaired it and an extra spare was ordered. With the warm weather, ice is being scrapped off of the roads. Everything else is running smoothly. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was an update on the logging. Buz Raspotnik said that the processor is done. He will be going in and cutting the larger trees by hand so this will take some time.

A discussion on Salt order and straining sand this summer. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by Bruce Hokanson to order 115 tons of salt this year. Motion carried. All Ayes. Mike will be checking with C & W for the screening.

A discussion on the texting on Mike’s Phone. He needs it for keeping in contact with various venders.

There was no Plan Commission this month.

A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to go into closed session to discuss the contracts for Mike and Pat. Motion Carried. All Ayes. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Bruce Hokanson to come out of the closed session. Motion carried. All Ayes. The contracts were okayed by the Board and the Road Crew.

A motion and a second to pay all current bills.
