Meeting Minutes December 7, 1978

Dec. 7, 1978

Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Michalik, Flonnes and Tetzner present. Leland Harvey was also present. Minutes of Nov. 2, 1978 were read and there being no additions or corrections it was moved and second they be accepted as read.

Motion and second to set town audit date Jan. 9, 1979 at 10:00 a.m.

Motion and second to have Town Caucus Jan. 27, 1979, Sat at 2:00 p.m.

Motion and second to pass or adopt Resolution concerning Treasurer’s Bond in amount of $9631.56.

Received letter from Clara Carlson concerning her driveway and placed on file.

Received map of roads to be plowed in barrens this winter and placed on file.

Motion and second to pay town levy of $775.81 out of General Fund Surplus Funds. This concerns personal property tax not paid and charged back. Discussed ways of collecting this money.

Wally Pierce appeared inquiring about working for the town. He presently works for town under a gov’t program and thinks this is phasing out.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Michalik, Flonnes and Tetzner present. Minutes of Oct. 5, 1978 were read and there being no additions or corrections it was moved and second they be accepted as read.

Motion and second to pay Landfill to Sept. 15. 1978.

Motion and second to send Leland Harvey to Forest Road meeting Nov. 3 1978.

Discussed Budget Hearing.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Tetzner, Michalik and Flonnes present. Leland Harvey and Wally Peirce also present.

Motion and second to pay for N H mower out of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.

Motion and second to pay freight on three-fourths ton P.U. from Government surplus. Truck is free.

Checked town mileage plats.

Discussed blacktopping done by Roffers.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Sept. 7, 1978

Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Tetzner, Michalik and Flonnes present. Leland Harvey was also present. Minutes of Aug. 3, 1978 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Dick Emrick and C. H. Ness, representatives of the Wisconsin Telephone Company were present concerning damage done to town roads while laying cable. They agreed to repair any damage done.

Discussed blacktopping and prices from Roffers for Engo Road, Church Corner Road and Maple Hill Road. It would cost $52,832.00 for two and one-fifth mile. Motion by Michalik and second by Flonnes to have Roffers do the job.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Discussed NH mower problem purchased from Lulich Imp.

Discussed blacktopping.

Approved request of David Hall to build a residence on the S½ of the N½-SW¼-SW¼ Sec. 22-49-5.

Granted permission for Lake Superior Power Company to cross Nevers Road with overhead service.

Discussed possibility of Ken Merila taking over landfill.

Discussed purchasing culverts at sale price from Laverne Anderson.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Went over Plats for new plat book.

Motion and second to adjourn.

Received bill for sign installation and there was a motion and second to place on file.

Discussed trading town “40” located in Sec. 18-48-5 for Nekoosa “40” across from town hall.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Chairman Calvin Schwenzfeier with Tetzner, Michalik and Flonnes present. Leland Harvey was also present. Minutes of May 4, 1978 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Motion and second to accept ambulance contract with City of Washburn for one year for $800.00.

Motion and second to grant C-Side Inn a class B combination Malt and Liquor License for the coming year, July 1, 1978 to July 1, 1979. Motion and second to grant Ken Swanson and Robert Peirce a bartenders license.

Discussed zoning ordinance.

Discussed damage done to town road by telephone company and thoughts are we should bill them.

Discussed dust problems on various town roads.

Meeting Minutes May 4, 1978

May 4, 1978

Meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Chairman Calvin Schwenzfeier with Tetzner, Michalik and Flonnes present. Leland Harvey also was present. Minutes of April 6, 1978 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

David Lee, Zoning Administrator, was also present. He explained zoning ordinance and left copies for town  board. Decided to take it up at future meeting.

Resolution prohibiting herbicide spraying was discussed. Motion and second to adopt and publish in Washburn Times and send copy to telephone company and power company.

Motion and second to set truck rate at $15.00 per hour, loader at $18.00 per hour, grader at $16.00 per hour and common labor at $3.50 per hour.

Motion and second to set mileage at 17¢ per mile and 25¢ per mile pulling steamer.

Motion and second to charge $1.75 per yard for hauling sand and $1.75 per yard plus cost for crushed gravel and black- top.

Motion and second to pay Leland Harvey $4.85 per hour and pay Alonzo Harvey $4.00 per hour.

Motion and second to adopt resolution appointing Philip Tetzner to hold offices of Assessor and Clerk.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.
