Minutes October 13, 2020

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom. Present: Kerry Tetzner, Sandy Raspotnik, Brenda Rechel, Mike Harvey, John Adams, Wendy Stein, Jim Park, Jim Miller, Jay Glase, Scottie Sandstrom, Claire Glafke, Julie Van Stappen, John Olson, Kim Bro, Mike Cariveau and Tom Cogger.

Meeting notices were properly posted in the three public places and published in the Daily Press.

Public comment took place.

Meeting minutes from the September 8, 2020 meetings were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by John Adams and a second by Wendy Stein to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Brenda gave Treasurer Report. All books are balanced. The Clerks and Treasurer’s computers are mirrored. Motion by John Adams and a second by Wendy Stein to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Harvey gave the crew report. All Forest Roads have been graded twice. Salt sand is mixed and hauled to the salt shed. Mike will be purchasing motor oil. A motion by Wendy Stein and a second by John Adams to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Sandy talked to the County about taking down the ATV signs on County C. They said no, there have been no complaints. The Handi-Hitch will be here in December and it will be okay to pay for it in January if need be.

A motion by Sandy Raspotnik and a second by Wendy Stein to approve a Class A building permit for Tom Cogger at 28610 Rustic Road NW ¼ of NE ¼ Section 34 Township 49N Range 5W. Motion carried All Ayes.

A motion by Sandy Raspotnik and a second by Wendy Stein to approve a Class A building permit for Julie Van Stappen at77545 Church Corner Road SE ¼ NE ¼ Section 28 Township 49N Range 5W. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Sandy Raspotnik and a second by Wendy Stein to approve a driveway permit for Julie Van Stappen. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Cariveau talked on Bayfield wireless. The contract with the Town for $5000.00 payment to them if the grant goes through is still in play unless the Board decides to stop it. They didn’t. Mike seems to think there is better chance this time around.

South Maple Hill Road/Engineer discussion. The Rice Lake group was hesitant and said it would cost $8,000 to$10,000 just to look at the project. Northern Wisconsin Engineers sent a letter. (see attached copy).

A motion by Wendy Stein and a second by John Adams decided to go on a three year payment plan for the Ambulance and Brush truck. 1st year $13,473.95, 2nd year $13,676.06, 3rd year $13,676.06. Grand total $40,826.07. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Wendy Stein and a second by Sandy Raspotnik to approve the contract with the City of Washburn for Fire and Ambulance. Motion carried. All Ayes.

The Ballot Box drop off was dropped.

A motion by Sandy Raspotnik and a second by John Adams to approve check number 14036 to 14064. Motion carried. All Ayes.
