Meeting Minutes November 5, 1992

NOVEMBER 5. 1992

Budget hearing for 1993 called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Haugen, Retzloff,  Tetzner, and Chapman.  Also Ed Pajala. Absent Pohlman. Motion by Haugen and second by Retzloff that Retzloff be Chairman of this hearing in the absence of Bill Pohlman. Motion carried. Discussed amount of gravel in budget and County Bridge Aid for Sioux River Bridge.  Motion by Haugen and a  second by Retzloff to adjourn Budget Hearing. Motion carried.

Special Town meeting called to order at 7:50 P.M. Motion by Haugen and a second by Retzloff to approve highway expenditures of $182,192.00 for 1993. Motion carried.

Motion by Haugen and a second by Retzloff to adjourn special Town meeting. Motion carried.

Regular Town meeting called to order at 8:05 P.M. Motion by Haugen and  a second by Retzloff that Retzloff be Chairman of regular Town Board meeting. Motion carried.

Minutes of October 8 and October 14, 1992 were read and copies given to Board members. Motion by Haugen and a second by Retzloff to accept. Motion carried.

The treasurer presented her report. Motion by Haugen and a second by Retzloff to accept. Motion carried.

Motion by Haugen and a second by Retzloff to grant Donald Westling approval to place a 1978 mobile home on his property SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 Sec 21-49-5. Motion carried.

Timm Retzloff reported that sometime in October he received call from Pat Tosch concerning maintenance of Maple Hill Drive. He stated hitting a pot hole and threatened possible suing Town. Timm Retzloff got in his car and drove this road at 40 miles per hour. He contacted the Town crew to grade this road finding no problems and it was done.

Timm Retzloff reported he had conversation with Ed Rutledge of Wisconsin D.O.T. of Superior concerning the new Sioux River Bridge. The guard rail ends are not installed so bridge is not officially opened. Timm is concerned about loose gravel, proper signing, and liability to Town. Ed Rutledge stated he would look into it and correct problems.

Timm Retzloff reported he had talked to Town crew about road signing on Four Mile Creek Bridge.

Motion and a second to pay all current Town bills.
