Meeting Minutes May 13, 2015

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.. Present: Bruce Hokanson, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Steven Tetzner, Mike Havey, Pat Guske, and Donna Chapman.

Meeting notices were properly posted in the three public places and published in the Daily Press.

Meeting minutes from the April 14, 2015 meeting were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. All books are balanced. Motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was no plan Commission meeting this month.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. The Beaver problem on Ondossagon Road is under control. Ben Dufford said there would probably be enough money this year to replace the culvert on Wannebo Road. They have been grading on the Forest Roads. Rhinelander Forestry said they have some signs to replace forty six signs on the Forestry Roads that have problems. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept report.

The bids for gravel were opened: Bob Olson, 2300 tons stock piled. $13.10 a ton, $30,130.00. Northwoods Paving, 2300 tons spread, $32591.00, 2300 tons stock piled, $30,889.00. South Shore Sand and Gravel, stock piled $18.41 per yard, spread $18.39 per yard. Ashland Construction, 2300 tons spread $13.74, $31,602.00, 2300 tons stock piled $13.74, $31602.00. Sipsas, 2300 tons spread $12.84, $29,532.00, 2300 tons stock piled, $12.84, 29,532.00. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept the bid from Sipsas Trucking LLC for 2300 tons from Crooked Lake Pit for $12.84 a ton to be stock piled for $29,532.00, and 2300 tons from Crooked Lake Pit to be spread on Engoe Road for $12.84 a for $29,532.00. Motion carried, All Ayes.

A motion by John  Hartzell and a second by Bruce Hokanson to have WK Construction pulverize one mile on Engoe Road for $5820.00. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion and a second to pay all current bills.
