Meeting Minutes June 10, 2014

June 10, 2014

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.. Present: Bruce Hokanson, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Steven Tetzner, Donna Chapman, Mike Harvey and Jenny Martins.

Meeting notices were properly posted in the three public places and published in the Daily Press.

Meeting minutes from the May 13, 2014 meeting were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Everything is balanced out. Donna will renew CD at .75% for a 18 months.  Motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. The spring grading is done. Mike needs more gravel for roads. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to purchase 660 tons of gravel from Milestone Materials for $12.68 a ton to be delivered to Town Hall. Motion carried.  All Ayes. A motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to purchase 220 tons of crushed black top for about $3400.00 for Colberg Road. Motion carried. All ayes. Mike will have Jeff Pipgras check out the heaters in the garage for maintenance cleaning. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Bruce Hokanson to buy chains for the Loader for $1325.00, the one ton truck for $150.00, and for the new plow truck for $265.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. Forest Road 500 is all set to go for new culverts to be put in through Jennifer Masiasz from Bayfield Economic Services, paid in full through a grant. Extra wedging is needed on McKInley Road for a cost of $5000.00 before the double chip seal can be laid. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to add wedging to McKinley Road for $5000.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

The Board signed a permit for Hans Dahl to build a storage/office building at NE ¼, SW ¼, Section 33, Township 49N, Range 5W. 76440 Paulson Road.

The chip seal project through the TRIP program on Paulson Road was extended to1.73 miles for full payment from the TRIP program.

A motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to Flex patch Wannebo Road from Church Corner Road to Pajala Road for $12,025.00. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was no Plan Commission meeting this month.

A motion to pay all current bills.
