JULY 10, 2007

Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Philip E. Tetzner, Mark Morey, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Donna Chapman and Gary Maki. Also Kurt Kiehne and Jennie Sanders.

Meeting notices were properly posted in three public places in the Town and published in the Daily Press.

Minutes of June 12, 2007 were read and written copies given to Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept. Motion carried.

Gary gave Crew report. Gravel is done. Everything is going okay. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried.

Discussed and reviewed Town Planning Commission agenda items.

Discussed Alternate Road surface test area plans. Will put on next month’s agenda as to type and which road.

Discussed speed limits on Engoe,  Nevers, and Wannebo in conjunction with other towns. No action taken.

Met with Jennie Sanders as possible replacement for Phil Tetzner, present assessor. Phil is no longer certified; therefore, the position becomes vacant. Jennie would accept job at same salary, do a first year required reevaluation and would complete present assessors two year elected term. Starting date, 2008-year assessment work.

Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to appoint Jennie Sanders and accept her offer and terms. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Reviewed snowplow policy. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to change snowplow fee to $35.00 for first 15 minutes. Motion carried.

Reviewed the purchase of a Model 100 Ballot counter. Lots of reasons to purchase. On file. Cost $5,000.00. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to purchase counter. All aye votes.

Discussed Midland Services Inc. prepay propane contract offer of $1.52 per gallon. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to buy a 3500 gallon contract at $1.52 per gallon. $5,320.00. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Motion and a second to pay all current Town bills.
