Meeting Minutes August 9, 2005
AUGUST 9, 2005
Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Kerry Tetzner, Mark Morey, Philip E. Tetzner, and John Hartzell. Absent Donna Chapman. Also present Gary Maki, Cathy Hoffman, Timm Retzloff, Wendy Stein, Kurt Kiehne, Pat McCabe, Clyde Hursh, and Kristen and Lauren Retzloff.
Minutes of July 12, 2005 were read and written copies given to Board members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept.
Meeting notices were properly posted in three public places in the Town and published in the Daily Press.
Gary gave Crew report. Mower tractor good shape, roadside tree cutting and brushing on Maple Hill, fixed some washouts from heavy rain, and roadside mowing almost done. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept. Motion carried.
Cathy Hoffman reported on the monitoring of Leafy Spurge in the Town of Washburn. She gave a summary of all the sites and any changes noticed in growth since year 2004.
Received request from Frank Stone to build a second home on an undivided parcel of land. Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.
Pat McCabe and Clyde Hursh appeared concerning a second home on a parcel of land. No paper work done so no action taken.
Timm Retzloff appeared concerning a possible loud neighbor party. No action taken.
Discussed Fire and Ambulance contract with City of Washburn. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to meet again for further study. Motion carried.
Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to insulate Town hall at a cost of about $1200.00. Motion carried.
Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to approve propane contract with Midland for 3500 gallon at $1.23 per gallon. Motion carried. All aye votes.
Town Board will attend NIMS Emergency meeting August 29, 2005.
Motion and a second to pay all current Town bills.
Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to send flowers for Eddie Pajala memorial. Motion carried.
Motion and a second to adjourn.
