Meeting Minutes April 17, 2007

APRIL 17, 2007

Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Philip E. Tetzner, Mark Morey, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, and Donna Chapman. Also Gary Maki, Ron Michael, Cathy Morey, Kurt Kiehne, Marieke van Donkersgoed-Kiehne, Bob Short and John Johanning.

Meeting notices were properly posted in three public places in the Town and published in the Daily Press.

Minutes of March 13, 2007 were read and written copies given to Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Donna Chapman gave Treasurer’s report. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept her report. Motion carried.

Gary gave crew report. Have all new stop signs and they are up. Salt sand pile is gone. Machinery is all in good repair. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

John Johanning appeared requesting a special use permit to build a house on Lot 6 in SW SW Sec 12-48-5. Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to approve request. Motion carried.

Rick and Sherry Lipka, represented by Marieke van Donkersgoed-Kiehne, appeared concerning a conditional use permit to keep about 15 dogs on Frank Stones property NE SW Sec 1-48-5. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Mark Morey to approve request. Motion carried. Dogs to be in by 9:00 P.M.

Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to let gravel bids for approximately 6000-ton road gravel. Contact Gary Maki. Motion carried.

Drafted Municipal Emergency operations plan for Town of Washburn.

Set road inspection for Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 9:00 A.M.

Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to adopt Town of Washburn Planning Commission Ordinance. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Mark Morey appointed Kurt Kiehne, Kim Bro, John Hartzell, Tom Cogger and Bruce Hokanson to Town Plan Commission. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to approve these appointments. Motion carried.

Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by Mark Morey to approve per diem of $30.00, and $40.00 for chair. Motion carried. John abstained.

Motion and a second to pay all current Town bills.

Motion and a second to adjourn.
