April 21, 2015 Annual Meeting called to order by Chairman Bruce Hokanson. Meeting notices were posted in the three public places in the Town and published in the Daily Press.

Minutes from the April 15, 2014 were read. Motion by Ruth Hartzell and a second by Robert Short to accept minutes as read. Motion carried.

Chairman Bruce Hokanson talked on projects and other happenings from 2015. The Town will spread 2300 tons of gravel on Engoe and Strecker Roads and possibly crushed black top on the two miles. Stock piling some gravel for use on roads this summer. Some crack sealing will be done on Wannebo Road. The US Forest is cutting back on care of some of the camp grounds including Horese Shoe Lake and Long Lake. Fees will be reduced. Valhalla will have no fees and reduced services.

A new plow truck was ordered in May. Monroe will mount a wing and the plow on it. It should be here by September. The cosrt is $138,000.00.

Colberg Road will have crushed black top put on it.

The Ambulance will be paid off this year, and also the grader.

There was no new information on the power line.

The law suit was settled by Rural Mutual Insurance Company for $72,500.00.

Motion made to have the next Annual Meeting on the second Tuesday after the election, April 19, 2016. Motion carried.

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.. Present: Bruce Hokanson, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Steven Tetzner, Mike Havey, Pat Guske, and Donna Chapman.

Meeting minutes from the March 10, 2015 meeting were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. All books are balance. Motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was no plan Commission meeting this month.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. The wing on the old 5 ton truck needs to be fixed. For someone to come and do it would be $3500.00 and if Mike orders the parts and does it himself it would be around $1300.00. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to have Mike replace part for $1300.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by Steven Tetzner to pay Tony Shots $250.00 for work done on the heaters in the Town garage. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to have Mark Tody fix the turbo impeller on the one ton truck for $1237.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. The lettering on the new 5 ton plow truck is done. Mike needs to order plow blades for the three trucks and the grader. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by Bruce Hokanson to buy the blades. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to buy metal to make a shute for shouldering roads for the plow truck for around $400.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. Pat Guske needs new rain gear, boots, coat etc. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to alot $500.00 towards the purchase of the rain gear. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to accept road crew report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Harrtzell To purchase a 1600 gallon water tank from Plastic Mart for $2550.00. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Bruce will put out a bid for 4500 tons of gravel.

The Grader is paid off.

Road inspection will be on April 18 ,2015 at 8:00 am.

Burning permits can be obtained from the DNR or the Forestry Department.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Property taxes all done and tax payments paid. Motion by Bruce Hokanson and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was no plan Commission meeting this month.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. The DNR will put fly ash on FR 685, no charge to Town. The old five yard dump truck needs work on the fuel tan. Matt Tetzner will weld it for around $200.00. The wing on the plow will need some parts and Mike will check on the prices. Mike will check on prices for a larger water tank for the one ton truck. Mike will call Star Signs for lettering on the new plow truck. There was some discussion on putting gravel on several roads this summer. Also wedging on different roads. Motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Duane Raspotnik spoke on cutting Forest Road right of ways. If the Town is the seller of the timber, it will be a lot less paper work for everyone. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by Bruce Hokanson to enter into a contract with the Forest Service for brushing along FR 697 and future roads. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to renew contract with Landscape Designs for cutting grass around the Town garage for $60.00 a time. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to have a new radio installed in the new plow truck for $1490.00 and to buy a grinder for the shop for $109.00. Motion carried. All Ayes. There are signs in the Forestry that are peeling again that need to be replaced. Mike will check with the Company that we got them from to see what can be done. Mike will also check with other vendors on cost. The Graders solenoid was replaced. Hopefully this will fixed the problem. Jeff Pipgras is fixing the heater in the Town garage. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Bruce Hokanson to approve the road crews report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

There was further discussion on the cutting of timber on the Forest Roads. There were two options. First, the Town Purchase the timber and bid out the sale, and two, the Forestry bid out the timber sale. It was decided to table the matter until further information was available.

Some projects for this summer included replacing a culvert on Wannebo Road and a few other culverts in the Town. Some wedging to do on Nevers Road and on Wannebo going up to Long Lake. Also needed is gravel and crushed black top.

Mike Harvey gave crew report. About half of the salt sand has been used. Plowing snow and keeping machines running. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

The new five ton plow truck could take another thirty to forty days to finish. Mike and Pat will be going to Marshfield on Thursday January 15, 2015 to check on progress and set things up for their use in the truck.

Michelle Davalor from the Forestry talked on removing trees from the right of way on forest Road 697. An environmental Impact study needs to be completed first. No cutting will be done on private property unless a tree needs to be removed because of a hazard to equipment.

The contract for the Road Crew was discussed and signed by the Crew and the Board.
