Special meeting called to order at 9:00 A.M. Present Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Mark Morey and Phil Tetzner.

Meeting notices were properly posted in three public places in the Town and published in the Daily Press.

Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to go into closed session. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Purpose of meeting to possibly hire a seasonal worker. Called Division of Unemployment Insurance to clarify paying of benefits to former employee who quit. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to go into open session. Motion carried. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to not hire another employee at the present time. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Board of Review called to order at 6:00 P.M. Members present Mark Morey, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell and Phil Tetzner.

Meeting notices were properly posted in the Town and published in the Daily Press at least 15 days before this meeting, May 12, 2006.

Assessment notices were deposited in the mail on Friday May 12, 2006.

Assessment roll was signed by Assessor.

All members of Board of Review had Board of Review training.

Kerry Tetzner was appointed Board of Review Clerk. A tape recorder was provided. No one appeared.

Open Book was held the same day from 4 to 6 P.M. with Assessor present. Carolyn Groves appeared and her question was answered.

Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Kerry Tetzner, Mark Morey, John Hartzell, Philip E. Tetzner, and Donna Chapman. Also Gary Maki, Cathy Morey, Ruth Hartzell and Kurt Kiehne.

Minutes of April 12, 2006 were read and written copies given to Board Members. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Discussed snowplow bills. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to send out snowplow bills early. Motion carried. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Gary gave Crew report. Driveways, culverts, blacktop should let bids. Also for TRIP Program. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept report. Motion carried.

Reported to Board, Signa Groves of C-Side Inn has applied for Class B Liquor License.

Set date for Board of Review for Tuesday May 30, 2006 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Opened gravel bids.

Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to give bid to Ashland Construction. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept both proposals from Keith Fleig to paint inside of Town Hall and doors of garage. Cost $3,559,41 plus $320.00. Total $3,879.4 1. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to purchase new flag. Motion carried.

Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to donate $100.00 to Pie and Politics. Motion carried.

Discussed Forest Service opening up all logging roads n National Forest to ATV travel.

Discussed possible disaster plan.

Signed 5-year memorandum of understanding with Northwoods Cooperative Weed Management. Memorandum on file.

Motion and a second to pay all current Town bills.

APRIL 12, 2006

Regular meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present Mark Morey, Phil Tetzner, John Hartzell, Kerry Tetzner, and Donna Chapman. Also Gary Maki, Tom Cogger, Ruth Hartzell, Cathy Morey, and Barry Cech.

Minutes of March 14 were read. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Donna gave Treasurers report. Spoke out on keeping her own computer. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept her report. Motion carried.

Gary gave Crew report. Some grading, and equipment maintenance. Everything going okay.

Barry Cech, Bayfield County Deputy, spoke on toxic materials possible in road clean up. Also work crews available from County Jail.

Douglas Belanger applied for hobby farm permit on F1 land. Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to approve with provision manure be handled properly. Motion carried. Located in NE NE 29-49-5.

Paul and Chris Rice applied for a hobby farm permit on F1 land. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to approve with provision manure be handled properly. Motion carried. All aye votes. NW NW Sec 28-49-5.

Jonas and Sarah Heinzerling applied for permit to build a residence on SE SE Sec 4-48-5. Motion by Kerry Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to grant request. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Seth and Angela Vasser applied for permit to build a residence on SW SE Sec 32-49-5. Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to grant request. Motion carried. All aye votes.

Tom Cogger appeared for reimbursement, Comprehensive Plan map expense, for Natural Resources. Possible to get money through zoning. No action taken.

ANNUAL MEETING
APRIL 11, 2006

Annual meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Minutes of April 12, 2005 were read. Motion by Mark Morey and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept. Motion carried.

Mark reviewed garbage pickup and various people doing pickup on different roads. Roster was passed around. Also reviewed monitoring landfill cap and leafy spurge control.

Kim Bro presented an update on Comprehensive Land Use Plan. He reviewed results of the survey sent out with slides and comments. Also audience comments. Tim Kane also commented.

Mark reported on road projects for this year. Terri Bahe asked for wider shoulders on Ondossagon Road. It is on the list.

Motion and a second to set next Annual Meeting on Tuesday after election at 7:00 P.M. Motion carried.

Motion and a second to go into closed session. Motion carried. Purpose of meeting to review health insurance costs and employee wages. Met with David Martinsen of Great Lakes Bay Area Insurance Agency concerning health insurance for Town employees. Met with Mike Harvey at end of his six-month probationary period. Everything is going okay. Met with Gary Maki concerning wages. Motion and a second to go out of closed session. Motion carried.

Went into open session. Motion and a second to give Gary Maki $1.00 per hour increase. Motion carried.

Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Discussed unpaid snowplow bill of $300.00 for Ahren Sauld. Will check with small claims court as she is ignoring the bills. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept Treasurers report. Motion carried.

Gary gave crew report. Lots of sanding, some machinery repairs. Talked a little bit about health insurance. Motion by John Hartzell and a second by Kerry Tetzner to accept report. Motion carried.
