December 3, 1981

Budget hearing was called to order at 7:10 P.M. Budget for 1981 was discussed. Motion by Darrel Olson and a second by Wilner Ekholm to approve budget as read. Figures on file.

Federal Revenue Sharing Budget was read. Motion by Darrel Olson and second by Wilner Ekholm to approve budget as read. Figures on f1le.

Regular meeting called to order at 8:30 P.M., by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Tetzner, Olson, Ekholm, and Jacobson present. Leland Harvey and Edward Pajala were also present.

Minutes of October 1, 1981 were read. There being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Ed Pajala requested sanding on school bus turn arounds.

Motion and a second to adopt snowmobile ordinance as written and posted in town. Copy on flle.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Motion and a second to pay Personal Property charged back in the amount of $258.15 from Surplus funds.

October 1, 1981

Meeting called to order 7:30 P.M. by Wilner Ekholm with Olson,  Tetzner,  Jacobson present. Calvin absent. Minutes of September 3, 1981 were read. There being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Hazel Maki, clerk from Town of Bayview appeared requesting our Town Board meet with their Town Board on Friday October 23, 1981 concerning maintenance on Big Rock Road. Motion and a second to do so.

Discussed purchasing reworked blacktop from Ashland Construction at $7.25 per yard not to be paid until next May.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Minutes of August 6, 1981 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Motion and a second to change locks on garage door.

Rece1ved letter from Anders Hokanson concerning Teschner junk yard. Place on file until October.

Received telephone call from Mrs. Grover Peterson concerning trees cut on right of way. Placed information on file.

Motion and second to pay ambulance contract three months in advance.

Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Discussed blacktop repair on 236. Forest Service offered 200 ton blacktop and wanted us to furnish gravel 400 to 500 yards. No action.

Discussed Four Mile Creek Bridge repair to Sioux River Culvert replacement.

Meeting Minutes August 6, 1981

August 6, 1981

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Olson, Ekholm, Tetzner, Jacobson and Leland Harvey present.

Minutes of July 2, 1981 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Gene McDonald, District Secondary Roads Supervisor of Wisconsin Department of Transportation appeared concerning bridge on Four Mile Creek. Explained procedures. Also culvert on Sioux on Wannebo Road.

Motion, and second to O.K. ambulance contract with City of Washburn and to pay it monthly, one month in advance.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Motion and second to trade 40’s with Nekoosa Edwards, paying $500.00 to boot.

Received letter from Robert Spears concerning radio tower. Letter on file.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Olson, Ekholm, Tetzner, Jacobson and Leland Harvey present.

Motion and a second to grant Richard Schroedal permission to locate mobile home on the SW SW 35-49-5.

Received letter from Wisconsin Telephone Company intending to bury cable for radio tower. No objections. Letter on file.

Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Motion and a second to sign fire agreement with City of Washburn.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Ekholm, Tetzner and Jacobson present. Leland Harvey was also present.

Minutes of May 7, 1981 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Bridge and Culvert replacements were discussed.

Motion and a second to renew Signa Groves’ C-Side Class B Combination License for $150.00. Also bartenders license for Winnie Day, Donna Day, and Carol Gautsch. Also Cigaret License. Each $5.00 – $20.00 total.

Received bids from Ashland Construction $6.15 per yard, Roffers $7.36 per yard, gravel bids. Given to Ashland Construction.

Motion and a second to put $1142.10 in building fund to make a $10,000.00 certificate. This is added to two CD’s that matured.

Mot1on and a second to pay all current town bills.

Meeting Minutes BOR May 26, 1981

May 26, 1981

Board of Review

Board of Review met from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.  Schrenzfeier, Ekholm, Olson, and Tetzner present. Bernard Guski, Nada Zukas,  Melvin Faulkner, and Ken Carlson appeared. Melvin Faulkner thought his land assessed too high. He did not file any written objection. The others had routine questions which were answered.

Board of Review

Board of Review met from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Schwenzfeier, Ekholm,  and Tetzner present. No one appeared concerning the assessment roll. Robert Spears, attorney appeared concerning radio tower to be built in N½ SESE section 28-49-5. Town Board expressed concern over interference that could be caused to TV reception in the area. Robert Spears said he would get a letter from Silver Birch Broadcasting Company stating there would be no interference.

Meeting called to order at 7:45 P.M. by Chairman Schwenzfeier with Ekholm, Olson, Tetzner and Jacobson present.

Minutes of April 2 and April 16, 1981 were read. There being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.

Discussed the purchase of salt, gravel and patch blacktop,

Discussed letter fron DNR concerning Four Mile Creek Road.

Discussed Snowmobile Ordinance drawn up by Robert Norlin. Motion and second to adopt. Copy on file.

Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Motion and a second to add Steam Boiler to Insurance State Fund.

Meeting Minutes April 16, 1981

April 16, 1981

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairnan Schwenzfeier with Ekholm, Olson, and Tetzner present.

Motion and a second to set truck rate at $25.00 per hour.

Motion and a second to set Loader rate at $30.00 per hour.

Motion and a second to set Grader rate at $30.00 per hour.

Motion and a second to set nileage rate at .25¢ Per mile.

Motion and a second to set sand and gravel hauling rate at $3.50 per yard plus cost of sand or gravel.

Motion and a second to set Labor rate at $3.95 per hour.

Motion and second to pay elections officials at mininun wage.

Motion and  a second to set snowplowing rate at $5,00 for first 15 minutes.

Motion and a second to pay Leland Harvey $5.90 per hour for the coming year effective April 6, 1981.

Motion and a second to pay Alonzo Harvey $4.85 per hour for the coming year effective April 6, 1981.

Motion and a second to have First Bank of Apostle Islands as town depository.

Motion and a second to have Robert Norlin as legal council.

Motion and a second to ask for gravel bids and blacktop prices.

Motion and second that all bills other than snowplowing be paid within 60 days after being billed. After 60 days interest 1 ½% per month w1ll be charged on unpaid balance.
