December 5, 1974

Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m. with Tetzner, Schwenzfeier, and Flonnes present. Minutes of Nov. 6, 1974 meeting were read and upon motion accepted as read.

Motion and second to pay Ken Swanson $3.30 per hour for labor mounting plows.

Motion and second to pay all current bills.

Motion and second to order three no litter signs from Bayfield County for about $10.80 each.

Motion and second to put (town not liable for damages while plowing private driveways) ad in paper.

Motion and second to adjourn.

Meeting Minutes November 6, 1974

November 6, 1974

Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. with Tetzner,  Schwenzfeier, and Flonnes present. Leland Harvey also present. Minutes of Oct. 3, 1974 meeting were read and upon motion accepted as read.

Douglas Borchers appeared before the Board requesting a change in the NE ¼ of the SE ¼ Sec 10-48-5 from forestry to agricultural. Also he requested a building permit from Town Board for the “40”. Received a motion and second to grant both requests .

Motion and second to furnish Robert Day a 20′ culvert for his driveway.

Motion and second to pay all current bills.

Meeting Minutes October 3, 1974

October 3, 1974

Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. with Tetzner, Schwenzfeier, and Roy present. Minutes of Sept. 5, 1974 were read and upon motion accepted as read.

James Michalik appeared at meeting wondering what was going to be done about Long Lake Road. Discuslon was held.

Received notice that Lowell L. Klessig, Route 1, Highbridge owner of the NW ¼ of the NE ¼ (42.60 acres) Sec. 1-48-5 wants to place it in Forest Crop (1975).

Received letter from Norlin and Spears concerning the sale of C-Side Inn from A. Betty McDonald to Bil-Jo Enterprises requesting Class B Liquor License transfer. Motion and second to grant this request pending more information.

Motion and second to furnish a 20′ culvert for Seagrave’s and a 20′ for Carl Talvitie.

Motion and second to charge $16.00 per yard for blacktop.

Motion and second to accept Lake Superior District Power Company offer of $20.00 stumpage and $110.00 to clean up on trees killed by spray on gravel pit “40” on Wannebo Road. Also to let James Tetzner cut out the dead trees.

Motion made and second to pay all current bills  except let the County blacktop bill go till next month.

Motion and second that ¼ mile of road commencing at the NE corner of the NW ¼ of the SE ¼ Sec. 25-49-5 and going West ¼ mile be placed on the Wisconsin Highway Plat. It shall be known as Gasperini Road.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Discussion about what to do about Long Lake Road. Motion and second to post it.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. with all town board members and clerk present. Leland Harvey also present. Minutes of July 2 1974  meeting were read and upon motion accepted as read .

Nelson Gigstad appeared before the board requesting a permit to build a cabin on the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ 5ec 3 -48-5W. Motion and second to grant this request a permit was given in writing.

Motion and second to give Robert Short a permit to build a home on five acre plot SE – NE Sec. 29-49-5.

Meeting Minutes July 2, 1974

July 2, 1974

Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. with all town board members and clerk present. Leland Harvey also present. Minutes of June 4, 1974 meeting were read and upon motion accepted as read.

Robert Gasperini appeared before board requesting a building permit for the NW ¼ of the SE ¼ Section 49N-R5W. Approval granted and written approval given.

Michael Zifko appeared before board requesting a building permit approval for the NE 5 acres of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ Section 16-48N-R5W. Approval granted and written approval given.

Motion made and second to sell pine stumpage (about 13 trees) on SE ¼ of the SW ¼ Section 29-49-5 on landfill site to Dalcon Construction for $165.00.

Charlie Guski and David Cook appeared before board concerning above.

Motion and second to pay all current town bills.

Motion and second to have clerk attend workshop in Ashland July 23, 1974.

Meeting Minutes June 13, 1974

June 13, 1974

Special meeting to open sealed bids to regrade one mile road on Maple Hill Drive called to order at 8:00 p.m. with Calvin Schwenzfeier, Oscar Flonnes and Phillp Tetzner present.

Bids were receiver from Olson Brothers Construction at $3950.00 and from Brevak Construction Company at $3200. Dale Brevak appeared and offered an alternate to his low bid to do the job at an hourly rate of $22.00 per hour for dozer and $24.00 per hour for scrapper with help from town equipment and total cost not to exceed $3500.00. Dale Erevak offered this as best deal for town and town would end up with better road. There was a motion and second to accept this alternate proposal.

Meeting Minutes June 4, 1974

June 4, 1974

Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. with all board members and clerk present.

Motion made and second to leave sand and gravel prices at $1.00 over cost.

Motion and second to accept fire run agreement with City of Washburn for another year for $500.00.

Motion and second to place in Washburn Times – once and Ashland Press three times, an ad calling for bids on grading 1 mile road to dump site. Bids to be in by June 12th, 1974 at 8:00 p.m.

Motion and second to accept application of A. Betty McDonald for Alcohol Beverage license at $125.00 and cigarette license at $5.00 plus $1.25.

Motion and second to set pay for extra meetings for town Assessor, Clerk and Treasurer at $20.00 per meeting with Town Board approval. This is for extra meetings not in official duties.

Motion and second to pay all current bills.
