Meeting Minutes May 5, 1973
May 5th, 1973
Meeting called to order at 1:00 p.m. with all board members present. Minutes were read and upon motion accepted as read.
Motion male and second to purchase a $5,000.00 Certificate of Deposit the grader fund.
Motion made and second to purchase a $1,000.00 Certificate of Deposit for the building fund.
Motion made and second to raise maintenance to City of Washburn for ¼ mile on Wannebo Road to $75.00 and to the Town of Barksdale for ½ mile maintenance to $150.00 per year.
Motion made and second to purchase two legal size two door fireproof files for clerk and assessor.
Motion made and second to purchase a Jonsereds RS-60 Brushmaster saw for about $296.00.
Motion made and second to sell the old brush saw and old hand operated adding machine on bids, reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Ads were placed in the Washburn Times on the fourteenth and twenty-first.
Motion and second to adjourn.

Meeting Minutes April 7, 1973
April 7th, 1973
Meeting called to order at 1:15 p.m. by Chairman Calvin Schwenzfeier with Larry Roy and Oscar Flonnes present.
Harvey Rowe Assessor appeared before the Board requesting assistance from Rice Lake assessor’s office. This help has to be requested by the Town Board. The Board agreed and Clerk will write letter. Also requested mileage for assessing work. Motion made and second to allow mileage.
James Michalek appeared requesting that meetings be held at set dates as voted on at annual meeting.
Motion made and second to appoint Oscar Flonnes as Health Officer.
Motion made and second to designate Washburn State Bank as depository for Town Funds.
Motion made and second to designate Tom Fox of Elizabeth Hawkes Law Office as Legal Council.
Received applications from Leland Harvey, Alonzo Harvey, and Kenneth Swanson for Road Jobs.
Motion made by Oscar Flonnes to appoint Kenneth Swanson Road Foreman and Machine Operator. No second.
Motion made and second to make Foreman rate $3.30 per hour. Machine operator rate at $3.05 per hour and Labor rate at $2.10 per hour.
Voting for Foreman and Machine operator at $3.30 per hour was taken. Leland Harvey – 2 Kenneth Swanson – 1.
Motion and second to hire Alonzo Harvey as machine operator at above rate $3.05 per hour.
Motion and second to have regular meeting on first Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
Motion and second to put Dead End sign on Bourgo Road.
Motion and second to pay 10¢ per mile mileage.
Motion and second to give Clerk authority to buy new record books to suit needs.
Motion and second to adjourn.
