Meeting Minutes – June 13, 2023

June 13, 2023

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Kerry Tetzner, Sandy Raspotnik, Jim Park, Scottie Sandstrom, Mike Harvey, and Wendy Stein.

Meeting notices were posted in the two public places, website, and published in the Daily Press.

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to amend Agenda to add open bids for 2” minus rock to be delivered to various places on Agenda item #15. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve the agenda. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Meeting minutes from May 9, 2023 regular Board meeting and the May 17, 2023 Board of Review were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by Jim Park and a second by Scottie Sandstrom to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Lynn Adams was not here but the balance sheets were. All books are balanced. The Clerks and Treasurers computers are mirrored Motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Mike Harvey gave the crew report. Grading is done on Town roads. Mowing along the roads has started. A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve purchasing 150 gallons of Hydraulic Fluid and grease for $3000.02. Motion carried. All Ayes. A motion by Jim Park and a second by Scottie Sandstrom to approve report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Sandy spoke on the closing of two Forest Roads. Motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve report. Motion carried. All Ayes.

Plan Commission: mowing landfill, Tom Cogger – $200.00 for locating the outside of the actual landfill.

Solar Panels have been put on hold until 2024.

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to adopt the Snow Plowing Policy. Motion carried. All Ayes. Clearing snow from driveways is still under discussion.

Scottie spoke on BIL grant. There will be a virtual meeting in July for Public involvement. There will be Bridge Aid on the larger culvert from the County, 50/50 match.

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to hire Stevie Matier as Technology Specialist. Motion carried. All Ayes.

The Employee Evaluation will be held in September.

Bids were opened for 2” broken rock for the Forest Roads for a total of $25,000.00,

  1. Germano Trusty Trucking $23.15 per ton
  2. Joe Tetzner Excavating $19.50 per ton
  3. South Shore Sand & Gravel $27.00 per ton
  4. Olson Brothers of Brule $20.93 per ton

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park approve Joe Tetzner Excavating for the 2” minus rock hauling. Motion carried. All Ayes.

A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to pay all current bills. Motion carried. All Ayes.
