Regular Board meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.. Present: Bruce Hokanson, Kerry Tetzner, John Hartzell, Steven Tetzner, Donna Chapman, Mike Harvey, Ben Dufford and James Slater.
Meeting notices were properly posted in the three public places and published in the Daily Press.
Meeting minutes from the June 14, 2011 meeting were read and written copies given to the Board members. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to accept as presented. Motion carried. All ayes.
Donna gave Treasurer’s report. Donna will open a safety box at Northern State Bank for keeping CD paper. A motion by Steven Tetzner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All ayes.
Mike Harvey gave crew report. Paulson Road ditching is completed. The culvert on Church Corner Road by bridge is almost done. Pats been mowing grass. Leafy spurge has been sprayed along road right of ways. A new battery was bought for the ’93 Ford dump truck. Forestry signs are being shipped to Bruce as replacements for the signs that peeled. Motion by Steven Tezner and a second by John Hartzell to accept report. Motion carried. All ayes.
There was no plan commission meeting.
A discussion on James Slater to start a home business for sales of fire arms, ammunition and gun smithing at 74900 Strecker Road. A motion by John Hartzell and a second by Steven Tetzner to allow the sales of guns and ammunition and gunsmithing at NW ¼ of Nw ¼ of section 8, Township 48N, Range 5W Town of Washburn. Motion carried. All ayes.
A discussion with Ben Dufford on replacing culvert on Wannebo Road. The culvert, 7’ x 90”, will be paid for by the Town for $12,282.00 with possible reimbursement from the DNR of approximately $3000.00. The rest of the project, rock sand, gravel, labor and everything else will be paid for by Bayfield County Land and Water Conservation or DATCP. Some sand clay mix will come from the Wannebo pit. All permits have been written up. The Town will call three Construction Companys, Ashland Construction, C & W, and K & D for bids on the project. They will meet with Ben Dufford and the Board at site to check out the project. Bids will be sent to the Town. A motion by Steven Tezner and a second by John Hartzell to approve the start of the Wannebo culvert project. Motion carried. All ayes.
Discussion on wedging Church Corner Road with Bruce checking on time lines for the project.
Motion and a second to pay all current bills.
