Meeting Minutes – Aug. 8, 2023
August 8, 2023
Regular Board Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Kerry Tetzner, Sandy Raspotnik, Jim Park, Scottie Sandstrom, Lynn Adams, and Kim Bro. Mike Harvey was absent.
Meeting notices were posted in the two public places, website, and published in the Daily Press.
A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve the agenda. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Meeting minutes from July 11 and July 27, 2023 from regular Board meeting and a special Board meeting were read and written copies given to the Board Members. Motion by Jim Park and a second by Scottie Sandstrom to accept as presented. Motion carried. All Ayes.
A motion by Scottie Sandstrom and seconded by Jim Park to have the outhouse painted by Keith Fleig for $1,780.00. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Lynn Adams gave the Treasurer report. All books are balanced. The Clerks and Treasurers computers are mirrored. Lynn will be working on the snow plowing driveways letter. Motion by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to approve report. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Sandy gave the crew report. A motion was made by Scottie Sandstrom and a second by Jim Park to purchase Gravel and rock to repair Church Corner Road and gravel along the 1/3 mile of new black top on South Maple Hill. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Kim Bro talked about the landfill project of getting clay for the potholes. There needs to be some mowing on the east side of the property and on the west side of the property monitoring the testing wells.
Scottie provided an update on the Wannebo Road project, culvert sleeve inserts, which involved being contacted by Bob Anderson, the Bayfield County Highway Commissioner to come out to the site while the County was working on the sleeve, Monday morning, August 7, 2023.
A motion was made by Jim Park and a second by Sandy Raspotnik to have Scottie be the Town appointed designee for the County Town Road improvement Committee. Motion carried. All Ayes. Scottie and Sandy will attend the LRIP program on August 16, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Town of Eileen Town Hall.
The five-year road plan was reviewed.
The backhoe is being repaired in Superior.
The building inspector for the Town is still in review.
A motion by Jim Park and a second by Scottie Sandstrom to pay all current bills. Motion carried. All Ayes.
