Meeting called to order at 8: 30 P.M. by chairman Pajala. Present were, Casey, Badura, Tetzner, Leland and Alonzo Harvey. Purpose of meeting to write up specs. for letting truck bids. Bids to be in by 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 1985. Motion by Casey and a second by Badura to have a special Town Board meeting on June 3, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. to consider the purchase of a town truck. Motion carried.
Motion by Badura and second by Casey to have a special Town Board meeting on Thursday, May 30, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. to open truck bids. Motion carried.
Motion by Pajala and a second by Casey to have the next regular Town Board meeting on Tuesday, June 4, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. Motion carried.
Motion and second to adjourn.

Present were, Phil Tetzner, Ed Pajala, Anselle Hokanson and Carol Badura. In session from 10:00 A .M. to 4:00 P.M. No one appeared.

May 2, 1985
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by chairman Pajala. Minutes of April 4, 1985 were read. There being no additions or corrections, it was moved and seconded they be accepted as read. Motion carried. Present were, Casey, Badura, Tetzner, and Slusser.
Gravel bids were opened. Ashland Construction – $7.47, Bob Olson Co. – $7.20. Motion by Badura and a second by Casey to accept lowest bid. Bob Olson Co. at $7.20 per yard. Motion carried.
Discussed truck specs. Also radios for Town equipment. Will do some checking.
Board of Review will be Monday May 13, 1985 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Road inspection scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 1985 at 9:00 A.M.
Motion by Badura and a second by Casey to purchase a lawn mower for under $150.00 to keep the Town Hall yard cut. Motion carried.
Discussed wages of Town crew. Will have them both in next Town meeting on June 6, 1985.
Motion by Badura and a second by Casey to appoint Anselle Hokanson and Carol Badura as Board of Review officials. Motion carried.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Annual Meeting Minutes April 9, 1985
ANNUAL MEETING APRIL 9, 1985
Meeting called to order at 7:25 P.M. by Chairman Pajala. Minutes of Apr1l 10, 1984 were read. There being no additions or corrections. Motion by Robert Short and a second by Shirley Haugen to accept as read. Motion carried.
Audit Report Was given by Ed Pajala. Highlights were touched on. Motion by Robert Short and a second by Steve Bade to accept as read. Motion carried.
Discussed papermill sulfite waste on town roads.
Discussed landf1ll monitoring by drilling wells. Motion by Steve Bade and a second by Joe Gerwood that the Town Board look into a solution for littering on town roads and get legal council to look into breaking the present Landfill agreement between the Town’s of Bayview and Washburn and the City of Washburn. Motion carried.
Discussed road agreement on Engoe Rd., Chequamegon Rd., and Viater Rd. between the Town of Washburn and Town of Barksdale. Signed into resolution on March 30, 1985 by the two Town Boards.
Motion by Steve Bade and a second by Anselle Hokanson to recommend the Town Board hire Phil Tetzner to revalue the Town of Washburn in 1986 under a separate contract. Motion carried.
Discussed purchasing a new town truck. Also radio equipment for keeping in touch with town crew in emergencies. Motion by Joe Gerwood and a second by Bertha Talvitie to have the town look into purchasing radio equipment. Motion carried.
Explained the difference between a town caucus and filing nomination papers. Also voting for supervisors, either voting one of two or two of four.
Discussed Auditing town accounts.
Motion by Joe Gerwood and a second by Shirley Haugen to adjourn and that the next annual meeting be on tuesday following election at 7:00 P.M.

Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M. by chairman Pajala. Present were, Casey, Badura, Slusser, and Tetzner. Minutes of March 7, 1985 were read. There being no additions or corrections, there was a motion and a second they be accepted as read.
Discussed bonding Town officers, Treasurer, and Clerk. Motion by Badura, and a second by Casey to do some more research and take action at next meeting. Motion carried.
Discussed gravel and letting it on bids. Bid Specs to be the same as last year and to be in by Thursday, May 2, 1985 at 7:00 P.M. Motion by Badura and a second by Casey. Motion carried.
Resolution concerning agreement of March 30, 1985 between Town of Barksdale and Town of Washburn concerning apportionment and repairs of Viater Road, Engoe Road, and Chequamegon Road is on file.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M. by chairman Pajala. Present were, Casey, Badura, Slusser, and Tetzner. Minutes of February 7, 1985 were read. There being no additions or corrections, there was a motion and a second they be accepted as read.
Motion by Badura and a second by Casey to accept ownership of the 1963 Dodge truck, Serial #80027484 from Bayfield County. Motion carried.
Motion by Badura and a second by Casey to give Ken Swanson, our constable, the Power to respond to dog complaints and take any action pursuant to sec 174.01, 174.042 and 174.046 of Wisconsin Statutes and report to Town Board. Motion carried.

Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M. Minutes of January 3, 1985 were read and there being no additions or corrections it was moved and seconded they be accepted as read.
John Warren appeared concerning buying the old Sagen place (owed by Art Soderstrom) for a dairy depot. His concern was road damage by semi’s coming in.
Discussed and looked at Fire sign map.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.
Discussed Russell Dennis’ request for 200 yards of sand from Wannebo pit in the spring. Okay, but would be a charge of about .25¢ per yard.

Called to order at 2:00 P.M. Motion by Badura and a second by W. Ekholm that Shirley Haugen be Caucus Chairman. Motion carried.
Motion by Bev Tetzner and a second by W. Ekholm that Kathleen Ekholm be Caucus Clerk. Motion carried.
Motion by Philip Tetzner and a second by W. Ekholm that nominations be by ballot. Motion carried. Shirley Haugen appointed Bev Tetzner and Ken Swanson as tellers.

TREASURER: Fay Slusser was the only nomination; therefore, it was moved and seconded that Fay Slusser’s name be placed on ballot. Motion carried.

Meeting called to order at 8:25 P.M. Minutes of December 6, 1984 were read and there being no additions or corrections a motion and a second was made that they be accepted as read.
Motion by Casey and a second by Pajala to reconsider time payments on gravel and snowplow payments in part. Motion carried.
Motion by Pajala and a second by Casey to rescind lasts months action on gravel and snowplow payments in part. Motion carried.
Discussed accident on Wannebo Road on October 17, 1984 of a claim of a car hitting a downed tree and going in the ditch. It is being handled by Insurance Company.
Discussed Treasurer and Clerk bonding. Will let it go until after election.
Motion by Casey and a second by Badura to adopt resolution bonding Town Treasurer for State and County Taxes. Motion carried.
