Budget hearing called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Ekholm, Casey, Tetzner. and Jacobson present. Highway budget set at $76,300.00. General Fund budget set at $17,000.00. Federal Revenue sharing budget of $1500.00 was not budgeted. Motion and a second to adopt budget.
Budget hearing adjourned.
Regular meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of November 4, 1982 were read. There being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.
Board of Audit will be Tuesday January 11, 1983 at 10:00.A.M.
Caucus Will be Saturday January 22, 1983 at 2:00 P.M.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.
Edward Pajala, Robert Grupstra, and Leland Harvey were also present.
Motion and a second to let one way Wausau Plow, home made bench grinder, and older type electric gas pump on bids. Put ad in Evergreen Shopper. Open bids January meeting.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Ekholm, Casey, Tetzner, and Jacobson present. Minutes of October 7, 1982 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read. Leland Harvey was also present.
Motion and a second to install an eight foot fluorescent light in town hall.
Received summons from Sheriff Department concerning accident at Bjork Road & Engo road June 24, 1981.
Motion and a second to see Attorney Spears.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Ekholm with Tetzner, Casey, Olson and Jacobson present. Minutes of Septenber 2 and Septenber 11, 1982 were read and there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.
David Lee of Bayfield County Zoning and Carl Lippert appeared concerning Town Policy on holding tanks. Presently Town of Washburn doesn’t allow then. He explained holding tanks are a last resort, but in sone cases are needed. Motion by Casey to allow holding tanks with $100.00 deposit for five years, seconded by Ekholm.
Ed Pajala and Leland Harvey were also present. Ed had questions on Sioux River culvert.

Meeting Minutes September 11, 1982
Septenber 11, 1982
Special neeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Ekholm. Present Olson, Casey and Tetzner. Opened bids for construction of 1/4 mile road on River Lane Road. Bids received from Brevak Constuction $2300.00, and Ashland Construction $2099.00. Motion and a second to give bid to Brevak Construction, as they would do the work with bulldozer and scrapper resulting in better job. Ashland Construction would use just dozer. Adjourned at 8:00 P.M.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Ekholm with Olson, Casey, Tetzner, and Jacobson present. Minutes of August 5, 1982 were read, there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.
Ed Pajala appeared concerning Sioux River Culvert, Detour Signs, and Notices.
Motion and a second that Town Board of Washburn support referendum on Nuclear Freeze. News Item.
David Day appeared concerning Snowmobile signs.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.
Motion and a second to let bids on building 1/4 mile road on River Lane to be in saturday September 11, 1982 at 7:30 P.M.

Meeting Minutes August 19, 1982
August 19, 1982
Special neeting to open Sioux River Culvert Bids on Long Lake Road. Called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Wilner Ekholm, Darrel Olson, Jeff Casey, and Philip Tetzner present.
Bids received:
Olson Brothers Brule $20,400.00
Schraufnagel Mason $26,300.00
Ashland Construction $18,984.00
Motion and second to give bid to Ashland Construction but for 10 gauge pipe instead of 8 gauge at $17,184.00.
Motion and a second to get sand needed from Hokanson and M. Faulkner.
People present, Anders Hokanson, Harold Peterson, Melvin Faulkner, Glen Cook, Art Nelson, Mrs. Carl Talvite, Mrs. Matt Talvite, Jim Deeth, Dale Brevak, B1ll Kacvinski-Ashland Construction and Olson Brothers-Brule.
Discussed filling town officer vacancies in Office 17.25.
Jim Deeth requested repairs to town road going to his “40” in section 35-19-5.

Meeting Minutes August 5, 1982
August 5, 1982
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Ekholm, Olson, Tetzner, and Jacobson present. Met with Chuck Schesell of Short Ellott, Hendrikson Engineering concerning Four Mile Creek Bridge. He explained studies and plans to date.
Minutes of July 1, 1982 were read, there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read.
Wilner Ekholm was appointed chairman after resigning as supervisor. Jeff Casey was appointed Supervisor. Three names were submitted. Ed Pajala, James Michalik, and Jeff Casey. Jeff Casey got two votes, Jim Michalik got one.
Motion and a second to authorize town clerk and town treasurer to make a short term loan if needed for maximum of $10,000.00.
Discussed snowmobile signs and proposal from DNR. Suggest that snowmobile club and town each pay half and when work is completed, DNR would reinburse. Total to be reimbursed would be $627.00.
Discussed road repairs going into DNR “40” across from town hall. Discussed road going past Donald Haugen’s to Jim Deeth. One half mile is involved, town has 44.

Meeting Minutes July 1, 1982

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Darrel Olson. Tetzner, Ekholm, Jacobson present. Also Leland Harvey was present. Minutes of June 3, 1982 were read, there being no additions or corrections were accepted as read. Also present Lavern Anderson, Lester Westling, Al Westling and Elizabeth Westling.
Motion by Ekholm and a second by Olson to go ahead with Four Mile Creek bridge and employ the lowest bidder, Short Elliott for $9,800.00. Wilhelm bid was $12,600.00.
Motion and second to grant approval to Warren Nelson to build a home on SE NE Section 34-49-5.
Motion and a second to hire Short Elliott to make a hydraulic study on Sioux River on Long Lake Road and then let it on bids. August 19, 1982 7:30 P.M. bid opening.

Met with Larry Young of Bayfield County Highway Department and Gene McDonald of Department of Transportation concerning bridge on Four Mile Creek. Les, Al, and Elizabeth Westling were also present.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M, by Darrel Olson. Present were Tetzner, Ekholmn, and Jacobson. Also present Joe Barany, Anders Hokanson, and Ed Pajala. Minutes of May 6, 1982 were read, there being no additions or corrections vere accepted as read. Gravel Bids were opened. Roffers $7.04 per yard, Ashland Construction $6,95 per yard. Ashland Construction gets the bid. Ed Pajala reported on State Retirement. Entry is January 1 of any year. Piok up of back tine is optional. It can be 25%-50% or all or none.
Anders Hokanson asked for gravel costs at church corner cemetery. Motion and a second to furnish gravel free. Motion and a second to provide free maintenance at cemetery when Anders Hokanson can no longer do 1t.
Motion and a second to grant combination Class B Liquor License to C-Side for $150.00. Also Cigarette License for $5.00. Motion and a second to grant Operator’s License to Scott Sauve and Donna Day for $5.00 each.
Motion and a second to pay Leland Harvey $6.20 per hour and Alonzo a Harvey $5.10 per hour effective Apr1l 5, 1982.
Motion and a second to have Spears & Carlson as legal council.
Motion and a second to pay all current town bills.
